Shroom Tunes
The Legend of Shroom & Her Tunes
Long ago in the mystical realm of all things whimsical, groovy, and flower-power-esque, a psychedelic time machine containing the sounds of the 1960's & 70's landed in the year 2014...and Shroom Tunes was born!
Shroom Tunes is two-hour radio show at Freeform Portland Radio. Shroom Tunes features a mix of oldies and newer artists.
If your ears dig genres such as:
psychedelic rock, surf rock dream pop, classic rock, shoegaze, garage rock, noise pop, lo-fi, punk, experimental, jazz, power pop, hauntology, indie-electropop, post punk, soul, & folk...
this is the show for you! What's not to like?
Check out what's playing on Freeform Portland right this very minute!

Greetings folks!
My name is Leah, and I am constantly on a quest for new and retro music that fills my old soul with joy. My show, Shroom Tunes is all about bridging the gap between the generations: I play 1960's and 70's tunes and modern experimental artists that embody a retro feel. From September 2017- May 2018, I was the General Manager at Lute Air Student Radio. I graduated from Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Art History. Within my major, I have an emphasis in Ethnomusicology (the study of music from a cultural anthropology perspective). I was also a member of PLU's classical guitar orchestra for two years. Currently, I serve on the volunteer committee of Freeform Portland, and I love to connect with others who share a passion for music. Other activities I enjoy are hanging around record shops, going to concerts, making collages, drawing, writing, watching That 70's Show, and drinking ice-cold guava juice.
