Featuring: Alvvays, Michael Nau, Perfume Genius
Last week, I had the amazing and nerve-racking experience of writing my first assignment for opbmusic. I was introduced to the idea of a "Monday Mix": three songs that are taken from a page-long list of recent releases that the opbmusic staff and DJs discuss each Wednesday. At the end of the meeting, the staff agree upon which three tracks should be featured. It is then my job to listen carefully to each track once more and come up with an accurate, accessible description for each, as well as including brief background information on the artist and any tour updates. I was rooting for Alvvays' new single "In Undertow" to be featured :) Below is the link to the article
